Motion Capture and Dancing in Virtual Reality
It was a lot of fun motion capturing Shane's dances and transferring them to our characters in Dance Collider. We captured his performance through kinect V2 sensors, recording in ipisoft, then placing them on our characters in the Unity game engine.
We wanted to convey the most realistic dance performances for our characters in Dance Collider. After a lot of testing we decided to go with motion capture and a professional dancer. Shane was amazing in bringing our character to life in the game. We used kinect V2, ipisoft, and Unity game engine.
